Adrien “Mick” Gamache founded the firm now known as Private Valuations,
Inc. in 1991. He has primary responsibility for marketing, business development
and relations with clients and allied professionals. He has served clients
ranging from small, local firms to multi-national corporations with operations
in Europe, Japan and the United States. Mick has managed the valuations of
business enterprises and their tangible and intangible assets, including intellectual
property, in a broad range of industries. He has also managed the appraisals
of a wide variety of existing and proposed industrial and commercial real estate
developments. He has testified in a variety of legislative, administrative
and judicial settings, including superior court, federal district court, county
and state ad valorem tax appeal bodies, land use regulatory bodies, and legisla-tive
committees.
Mick was a Vice President of Consilium, Inc., a Bellevue, Washington firm,
where he was responsible for the staffing, technical direction and monitoring
of business valuation and real estate appraisal services. He began his career
at MacMillan Bloedel Ltd., a major British Columbia forest products firm, where
he modeled manufacturing operations. Then followed experience as a forest products
analyst with a Portland, Oregon NYSE firm, several years as a consultant to
the forest products and land use industries and five years on the University
of Washington faculty, teaching courses in financial decision-making and land
use economics.
Mick received a BS degree from Purdue University and a PhD emphasizing economics
and finance from the University of Washington. He has been an instructor for
a variety of short courses and workshops in economics, financial decision-making,
valuation theory and statistics for the Appraisal Institute, MacMillan Bloedel
Ltd., the University of Washington, the Washington Institute, ITT Rayonier,
Louisiana-Pacific Corp., the Northwest Securities Institute of the Washington
and Oregon State Bar Associations, Lorman Education Services and the National
Business Institute. Mick is active in the Northwest Entrepreneurs Network,
the Estate Planning Council of Seattle and the Association for Corporate Growth.
He holds the designation of Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in business valuation
from the American Society of Appraisers, and he is licensed as a Certified
General Real Estate Appraiser (#1100900) by the State of Washington.
