George conducts financial analyses and valuations in a variety of contexts, including estate and income tax planning, litigation support, and mergers & acquisitions. He is a skilled interviewer and investigator, with several years experience as a high-level securities analyst in the Far East. He also provides value-based strategic planning advice for clients and assists with the redeployment of corporate assets.
George came to PVI with 10 years of experience in securities analysis, investment banking and accounting. He was with the Seoul offices of Jardine Fleming Securities Limited and ABN Amro Asia Limited, where he analyzed Korean public companies in the chemicals, oil & gas and forest products industries and conducted due diligence for investment banking engagements. Following his return to the United States in 1999, he served as a Vice President of Ragen MacKenzie Inc. (Series 7, 63 and 65), calling on institutional clients. George was an active duty U.S. Marine for 12 years, stationed in Okinawa, Hawaii and Korea. He served as a translator and developed software applications for a bilingual Unix database.
George has a BA in Asian Studies/Business Administration from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland and an MBA from Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea. George holds the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in addition to his Washington state CPA license. He is fluent in spoken and written Korean and he has a working knowledge of spoken Japanese.
